The 24th annual Reston Multicultural Festival will be held Saturday, September 20, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will take place at the Reston Community Center, located at 12001 Bowman Towne Dr.
The annual event is a celebration of Reston’s diversity and spirit. The festival is a “Sip & Stroll” event. Guests can purchase drinks at a participating restaurant and bring it to the festival.
There will be live music and entertainment on three stages. The Reston Multicultural Festival acts include gospel music by the Howard University Choir, Spanish dancers from the Furia Flamenca Dance Company, and dancers from the Foley Academy of Irish Dance.
The family-friendly event will also include arts and crafts and activities for children. Plus food from countries around the world. Guests are encouraged to wear clothing that represents their cultural roots.
“The Reston Multicultural Festival is a vibrant reminder of the beauty found in our diversity. And it is a celebration of the traditions, stories, and artistry that shape who we are as a community,” says Beverly Cosham, Reston Community Center Board of Governors Chair. “Each year, this gathering allows us to come together, honor our differences and deepen our understanding of one another, strengthening the bonds that make Reston such a welcoming and connected place to call home.”
The event is free and garage parking is available on site. For day-of cancellations due to weather, it is recommended you can call 703-435-6600 or check the website.
