Feel like doing something different to see the Fourth of July fireworks this year? Consider a local boat cruise. Several NoVA-area companies offering cruises where you can be on the water and indulge in great views of the DC fireworks. Here are some options.

Boomerang Boat Tours

For an adults-only (age 21+) Fourth of July cruise, book a spot on Boomerang’s yacht cruise. Your ticket includes an open bar, as well as snacks, music, and a fun party vibe. The yacht is a double-decker, so you can be sure you will get great views of the fireworks. 3050 K St. NW, Washington, DC

City Cruises

For a delicious dining and fireworks experience, City Cruises’ Fourth of July dinner cruise is your best option. There will be a bar, a DJ spinning upbeat tunes, and a dinner menu featuring three salad options, pasta, or meat as your entrée. Plus a selection of side dishes and a mini dessert station. See their website for add-on options, such as a bottle of champagne. 580 Water St. SW, Washington, DC

Sea Suite Cruises

Sea Suite Cruises has a variety of boating experiences available on the holiday. You can select from a tiki boat departing from Georgetown, Annapolis, or Richmond, a paddle boat leaving from the Wharf or Georgetown, or a retro boat which can be reserved for the Wharf or Georgetown. Depending on the option you pick, drinks are either bring-your-own or can be purchased on board. Sea Suite Cruises are great for groups of friends and families. The tiki boats offer a fun island vibe, and the retro boats provide a more intimate option with seating limited to four people. 4708 Old Main St., Richmond
