Are you Team Pepsi or Team Coke? The question that was originally asked in the ’70s is back. Soda aficionados can take the new Pepsi Challenge in Tysons Corner this weekend.
From April 11 to the 13, Pepsi invites local residents to take the Pepsi Challenge and decide for themselves if they prefer Pepsi Zero Sugar over its rival Coke Zero Sugar. The event is open to challengers from noon to 7 p.m. at Tysons Corner Center at 1961 Chain Bridge Rd.
Challengers can expect to be presented with two unmarked cups – Cup A and Cup B – containing Pepsi Zero Sugar and Coke Zero Sugar. After sampling both cups, they will select their favorite cola from the two options.
Regardless of the soda they chose, Pepsi will reward all participants with free Pepsi Zero Sugar.
The event will be held outside of the Starbucks and truck on the PenFed Plaza. The location may change in the event of rain.
The challenge will also be hosted at the University of Maryland on April 12 and 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This national tour will be sparking friendly competition across the country through October.
