Tickets for the popular train ride with Santa on the Virginia Scenic Railway go on sale at noon on Tuesday.

The 50-minute scenic rides from the Amtrak station in historic Staunton start on Saturday, November 30, and run through Sunday, December 22.

There will be day and early evening train runs, with the last train leaving around 6 p.m.

The trains run every day, except Monday, with more time options on the weekends.

The passenger cars are set up with table seating, and you’ll have the option for a table for two or four. Bigger groups can sit together. Just book the tables at the same time.

During your train ride with Santa, you will get a hot beverage, a sweet treat, and time with the jolly man himself.

Kids can sit with St. Nick and parents are welcome to take photos.

The price is $65 per person. Children age 2 and younger are free, provided they are seated on an adult’s lap.
