The first performances at The Barns at Wolf Trap for this season have been announced, and the lineup at the intimate venue features a variety of musical styles, from the legendary Graham Nash to a Christmas show with the Blind Boys of Alabama to a night of cabaret.
“We are proud to present this dynamic lineup for The Barns at Wolf Trap,” said Arvind Manocha, president and CEO of Wolf Trap Foundation. “This season includes international artists, Broadway icons, Grammy Award winners, DC’s own local anthem singers, and many more legendary acts. Wolf Trap continues to be committed to bringing a diverse range of artists to our stages that you can’t see anywhere else in the region.”
Tickets to performances at the 382-seat indoor venue go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 16. Wolf Trap members can buy tickets starting Thursday, August 8.
Here are the acts that have been announced.
Norm Lewis
October 18–19, 8 p.m.
The season starts with the rich baritone sounds of Norm Lewis, who has had leading roles on Broadway. Wolf Trap describes him as one of the “most memorable Phantoms of the Opera.” Tickets start at $68.
Jim Messina
October 22, 8 p.m.
Enjoy a mellow night as country-rock innovator Jim Messina performs hits from his multi-decade career with Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and Loggins & Messina. Tickets start at $68.
Graham Nash
October 23, 25, 26, 8 p.m.
The legendary Graham Nash takes the stage to perform songs you’ve been hearing your whole life. Todd Caldwell (keyboards and vocals), Adam Minkoff (bass, drums, guitars, and vocals), and Zach Djanikian (guitars, mandolin, drums, and vocals) join him. Wolf Trap has a VIP package for Nash’s shows. Tickets start at $97.
T Bone Burnett
October 28–29, 8 p.m.
Grammy Award– and Oscar winner T Bone Burnett plays his first concerts in nearly two decades. You don’t want to miss the music from O Brother, Where Art Thou? or Burnett’s latest album, The Other Side. Tickets start at $48.
Third Reprise
November 1, 8 p.m.
Hear new versions of Broadway show-tune classics as only Third Reprise can perform, some soulful, others in R&B style. Tickets start at $28.
Over The Rhine
November 2, 8 p.m.
Folk couple Karin Bergquist and Linford Detweiler bring two decades of folk sounds to The Barns. Tickets start at $38.
Jess Williamson
November 6, 8 p.m.
The heartfelt lyrics of indie country musician Jess Williamson will bring out the romantic in you. Tickets start at $28.
The Doo Wop Project
November 7, 8 p.m.
We can already hear you singing doo-wop classics. Vocalists Dominic Nolfi, Charl Brown, Dwayne Cooper, Russell Fischer, and John Michael Dias will add some harmony to the mix. Tickets start at $45.
Mariachi Herencia de México
November 8, 8 p.m.
This Latin Grammy–nominated group blends mariachi and other Latin influences for a night that will have you getting into the beat. Tickets start at $50.
