Perchfest, 3-Day Festival in the Sky, Returns to Capital One Center

The biannual festival will feature live music, mini golf, and food vendors at Capital One’s rooftop park, the Perch.

Capital One Center in Tysons will host its biannual rooftop festival, Perchfest, from May 19 to May 21. Guests will have the opportunity to eat, drink, dance, and play from a place high over the streets of Tysons, all while supporting a good cause.

This event will take place at Capital One’s two-and-a-half-acre-wide rooftop public park, the Perch. The rooftop space also holds a dog park, a sculpture garden, a minigolf course, and food vendors.

As part of the Perchfest celebrations, guests are encouraged to take part in a full lineup of fun events, including live performances and a morning fitness class, plus children’s events. Face painting and lawn games are among those kids’ events.

On Friday, The Vandelays and Turning the Tide play at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. On Saturday, the music starts at noon with The Dad Guys, followed by three more bands and a DJ. Sunday, you can try a high-intensity training workout at 10:30 a.m. before the music begins at noon.

You will be able to buy over 20 craft beers from Star Hill Biergarten, which has a permanent location on the Perch. There will be food tents from future Capital One Center retailers, such as Stellina Pizzeria, Ox & Rye, and Sisters Thai.

The event will benefit Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, an Arlington-based nonprofit.

“We are so proud to team up with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and elevate their mission to rescue homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals from certain euthanasia and find them loving, forever homes,” said Meghan Trossen, manager of Capital One Center’s marketing and community affairs.

Last September’s Perchfest weekend drew over 15,000 visitors over the course of the three-day festival.

The event at 1805 Capital One Dr. will run from 4 p.m. to midnight on Friday, from 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are free through Eventbrite, but you need to register online and are encouraged to make a donation to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.
