Coming in for a Landing
Head over to the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center for the chance to check out more than 50 vintage and modern aircraft on Saturday, June 18, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Innovations in Flight event Among the aircraft that will be flown in for the day are the U.S. Air Force C-47 “Miss Virginia” and the Pan Am DC-3 “Clipper Tabitha May.” You’ll also get the chance to talk with pilots and check out the cockpits and cabins of the aircraft. You’ll need to reserve a free pass. —Amy Ayres, editor

Adventure Awaits
The first few weeks of June have definitely been a crazy one for me. In order to escape the hustle and bustle, I’m heading into the woods for a weekend of camping. Before I venture into the trees, I’m picking up some essentials that are sure to make my weekend even more relaxing.  —Michele Kettner, associate digital & research editor

Life Among the Stars
Rosslyn will be kicking off its new Zen in the City series on Thursday, June 16 in Dark Star Park (the park with big cement spheres that look like Death Stars, for those who don’t know). The program looks willing to push your boundaries, as this isn’t just yoga in the park. For this first event, Kara Simon of Loving Heart Holistic Wellness will host a “sound bath.” Stop by and join her effort to bring peace to the galaxy. —James Finley, senior editor
