Adulting Done Right
I’m buying a house. The closing is in Gainesville, which just happens to be the home of brand-new The Winery at at Sunridge Farm. You know what that means: celebrating with lake views, wine, brews, and most importantly, charcuterie from The Grazing Board. To Market, To Market
Past vendors’ goods have included “spiked cheesecakes in a jar,” so I’m definitely headed to the Workhouse Arts Center’s Community Market when it reopens on April 10. It’s the perfect weekend to go–grand reopening festivities include Japanese-themed things like hula dancing and origami workshops. Plus, it’s a 5-minute drive from the historic streets of Occoquan, where I’ll grab brunch and enjoy the lookout at the lake. –Kelly Kendall, editor
Green Thumb
Even though April just started, I’ve already started my summer garden. Back in March, I planted broccoli, peas, pepper, and more, and I’m happy to say I already have sprouts. With the vegetable garden good to go, I plan to start working on the front yard. My porch is definitely looking a little drab, so colorful planters it is!
