After a year of virtual classes, events and work we are all in need of a day away from screens. With National Day of Unplugging taking place on Friday and Saturday, now is the perfect time to take a break from technology. Whether you want to run a 5k or enjoy a wine dinner outside the home, these six events will keep you busy while you’re screen free.
Garlic Mustard Clean Up
Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon
Spend your day outside volunteering. Head over to Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park to help clean up the trails. Volunteers are asked to bring water, gloves and a large trash bag. Family Hilltop Outing
Saturday, 11 a.m.

Feisty, Friendly, and Fearless: Women of the Lodge
Saturday, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Nomini Bay Oyster Festival

Spanish Wine Dinner at Market Salamander
Saturday, 7-10 p.m.

Lucky Leprechaun 5k
Through March 31
Feel the luck of the Irish with a virtual 5K and one mile run. This virtual event includes no screens and allows you to get a nice workout around the neighborhood or your favorite park. Participants will receive a commemorative shirt, custom bib and finisher medal. // $25-$35
