Massanutten Resort ski season passes are now on sale

Get ready for the 2020-2021 ski season with a low-price deal.

By Holly Gambrell August 24, 2020 at 3:52 pm

As summer slowly turns to fall, many Northern Virginians have their eyes set on pumpkin picking, apple picking and Halloween. But for those who can’t wait for winter to arrive, they’re paying close attention to this news: Massanutten Resort recently opened its season pass sales for the 2020-2021 ski season.

Now through Monday, Aug 31, season passes will be sold at the lowest price they will be for the year, and the resort is also offering a newly launched family pass for four immediate family members as an option this season.

Season pass holders will be able to enjoy the 2,922 feet of elevation that Massanutten Resort boasts in the heart of Shenandoah Valley. It’s also home to the most vertical drop in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania with 70 acres of skiable terrain for all experience levels. The resort also offers ice skating, snow tubing and more.

The individual and family season passes are available for purchase through Feb. 28, 2021 for the season and the pricing ranges from $309 to $2,050, depending on what type of pass is purchased and when the purchase is made. Find more details here.

For larger families, additional persons may be added at discounted rates by calling the Ski Office at 540-289-4954. Special ski season pass rates are also available for military and gold card/property owners. Additional benefits with a season pass purchase include 10% off lodging and 10% off on-site dining at Massanutten Resort (excluding alcohol).

“We are more excited than ever to hit the slopes this ski season, and to welcome winter with affordable pass options for snow-sport enthusiasts and vacationers,” said Kenny Hess, director of sports and risk management at Massanutten Resort, in a recent press release. “While we are all hopeful for a great ski season, we understand that many pass holders are concerned with the current circumstances due to COVID-19. As a result, we have developed a thoughtful plan for our guests to purchase their ski season passes in advance with added peace of mind.”
