Each year throughout the month of October, retail shop Bloomingdale’s offers shoppers the chance to do good while they shop. Since the program’s inception, the company has raised more than $12 million for research, support and awareness programs at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, The Carey Foundation and the Marisa Acocella Foundation. This year, the Tysons locations will kick off the promotion with a special all-pink yoga class where each participant will leave the workout feeling refreshed, with a pink yoga mat and giveaway bag in hand. // Bloomingdale’s Tysons Corner: 8100 Tysons Corner Center, McLean; prices vary

Fourth Annual The Pink Carpet Event Charity Fashion Show

NoVA residents can come watch breast cancer survivors strut down the runway to benefit a good cause. Seventh Annual Race for Every Woman 5K

Support breast cancer patients across the globe by lacing up your sneaks for this annual event organized by Alpha Breast Cancer Support Services. Community Walk-n-Talk with 2Unstoppable
Oct. 20, 9-11 a.m.
Each year, people from the Fairfax community and beyond gather together for this free workout hosted by nonprofit 2Unstoppable, recognizing the strength of all women touched by cancer. The day’s events will include an organized warmup led by a cancer exercise specialist, giveaways and a raffle. Plus, this year’s special guest is Dr. Elizabeth Feldman, a breast surgeon at Virginia Cancer Specialists, who will share her expertise and participate in the walk. // W&OD Trailhead, Arlington; free
Buck Breast Cancer Benefit

Real Kids Wear Pink of Loudoun

Throw on your best shade of pink to show your support for Loudoun County’s littlest fundraisers. In support of the American Cancer Society, local kids will have the chance to decide how they raise money, whether it be with a pink-out sporting event or a spirit week, with all funds raised going to support breast cancer research. // Throughout Loudoun County; donations encouraged
Making Strides of Washington, DC

Take a walk with members of the community for the American Cancer Society’s annual Making Strides event.
