Stronger Than Sarcoma
July 27, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
The Josh Powell Foundation, The Patriot Moose and Old Glory Gym are launching the inaugural Stronger Than Sarcoma workout for July, which is Sarcoma Cancer Awareness Month. Fourth Annual Capes and Cocktails Benefiting St. Jude
Aug. 15, 7-10 p.m.
Grab your cape or mask and head to Virtue Feed & Grain to help raise money to end childhood cancer. The night will include cocktails, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment, raffles and a silent auction. Cancer Can Rock featuring The Darby Brothers, Christian Lopez and Justin Trawick
Aug. 15, 7:30 p.m.
This concert at Jammin Java will benefit the nonprofit Cancer Can Rock, founded by Jim Ebert, a multiplatinum record producer and cancer survivor. 4K Fun Run for Hope Against Cervical Cancer
Sept. 1, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Run a 4K to spread awareness about cervical cancer and to promote self-testing in underserved areas of the country and the world. St. Jude Walk/Run Washington

Kegs & Corks for Kids Cancer
Sept. 29. 1-5 p.m.
Drink wine, watch football and take in Virginia’s countryside at this beer and wine tasting event, benefiting Kate’s Cause, which focuses on pediatric cancer research. The event includes beer, wine, a raffle, live music, food trucks and merchandise supporting the nonprofit. Fourth Annual The Pink Carpet Event Charity Fashion Show
Oct. 6, 6-10 p.m.
The Pink Carpet Event Charity Fashion Show will feature models from the DC, Maryland and Richmond areas, as well as breast cancer survivors making their debuts on the runway. The event will also include live entertainment during the show and a dance party following the event.
