For bicyclists in the DMV, one of the most anticipated events every spring is DC Bike Ride. It returns this year on May 18, for its fourth annual event.

Over 8,000 riders are expected to participate in this year’s DC Bike Ride. The ride is 20 miles long, and features some of the most scenic parts of DC. Cyclists won’t have to worry about cars, as streets will be closed off, and all ages and skill levels are welcome.

Throughout the ride, participants will visit tasting stations, highlighting DC restaurants, and popular bands and DJs from the region will provide en-route entertainment. The event commemorates with the Finish Festival in front of the U.S. Capitol.

New this year, riders are able to rent bikes on-site for only $12, as DC Bike Ride has partnered with Unlimited Biking for the event. Riders can pick up and drop off their bikes at the event’s finish line.

Registration for the event is $65, with early-bird and youth pricing available. For more information, visit dcbikeride.com.
