Toast the new year at any of these events across NoVA, whether it’s a quiet dinner with loved ones or a winter cruise to watch some fireworks.

Dec. 31, 10 a.m.
Get one more round of golf in for 2018 in this four-person, captain’s pick scramble at Herndon Centennial Golf Course. Registration must be completed by Dec. 21. //

Ambar Clarendon New Year’s Eve Dinners
Dec. 31, 4:30 p.m.-midnight
Highlighting Balkan cuisine with a modern twist, Ambar, and its sister restaurant located below, Baba, will host two seating options for dinner: one in the early evening, and another to ring in the new year. Each session will include 25-cent drinks and unlimited small plates; the second session will also receive a Champagne toast at midnight. New Year’s Eve at SER
Dec. 31, 5-10:30 p.m.
A six-course menu of fine Spanish cuisine is a pretty good way to say goodbye to 2018. Arlington’s SER has created an exclusive NYE menu that will be offered at two seatings: 5-7:30 p.m. and 9-10:30 p.m. The second “main seating” will include party favors, a cava toast, the 12 grapes of tradition from Spain and live music. // SER: 1110 N. New Year’s Eve with The King
Dec. 31, 6 p.m.
Rock the last night of 2018 away with The King himself, Elvis Presley. A three-course, waiter-served dinner will be offered, accompanied by all of Presley’s best hits from entertainer Michael Hoover. After dinner, take to the dance floor, followed by a Champagne toast at midnight. // Riverside Center for the Performing Arts: 95 Riverside Parkway, Fredericksburg; $125

Tysons Biergarten’s New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball
Dec. 31, 7 p.m.-2 a.m.
For the second year in a row, Tyson’s Biergarten will host a Masquerade Ball on New Year’s Eve. So don your favorite mask and enjoy a party that includes live music from Jason Saitta and DJ Maskell, as well as a balloon drop and Champagne toast. // Tysons Biergarten: 8346 Leesburg Pike, Tysons; $20

New Year’s Eve at the Silk Mill
Dec. 31, 8 p.m.-12:30 a.m.
Join The Silk Mill and variety band InsideOut in one last 2018 party. Dinner will be available as food stations with different themes: Asian creation, meat carving, Southern food, seafood and a charcuterie table; vegetarian options also available. New Year’s Eve Fireworks Dinner
Dec. 31, 8 p.m.-1 a.m.
Cruise into the new year aboard the Odyssey. The ride includes a specially designed New Year’s Eve plated dinner, platinum open bar and Champagne toast at midnight, a live band and views of the First Night Alexandria fireworks. // Departs from 580 Water St. SW, Washington, D.C.; $300

Brew Year’s Eve at the Republic
Dec. 31, 8 p.m.-1 a.m.
Brew Republic Bierwerks is keeping its taproom open late for this New Year’s Eve celebration, which in addition to the brewery’s craft selections, will include wine, Champagne and delicious food. ‘70s Disco New Year’s Eve Celebration
Dec. 31, 9 p.m.
Travel back in time to celebrate this new year, with a ’70s era celebration that features DJ Megawatt, a costume contest and a special New Year’s Eve dinner menu. Attendees will also have the option to reserve a one-night stay at Hotel Indigo to make sure they have a safe and fun New Year’s. // Union Street Public House: 121 S. Union St., Alexandria; No cover

‘90s Totally Radical New Year’s Eve Party
Dec. 31, 9 p.m.
We may be heading into 2019, but party like it’s the ’90s at Punch Bowl Social in the newly opened Ballston Quarter. A Royal New Year’s Eve
Dec. 31, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
Celebrate the new year like British royalty at this themed New Year’s Eve party at Potomac Point Winery. Dance the night away while you enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a selection of wine and beer, plus a tea station. // Potomac Point Winery: 275 Decatur Road, Stafford; $125

New Year’s Eve Grand Salamander Party
Dec. 31, 9 p.m.-2 a.m.
Take in the new year at one of Northern Virginia’s most popular resorts, as dancing, hors d’oeuvres, an open Belvedere ice bar and a complimentary Moet Champagne toast at midnight will be available in the living room. A special New Year’s Eve dinner from executive chef Ryan Arensdorf will also be available (5-10 p.m.), as will a New Year’s Eve Champagne cocktail class (2 p.m.) // Salamander Resort & Spa: 500 N.
