5 NoVA Spas with Relaxing Hot Stone Massage Treatments

Reset your body before heading into the new year by booking one of these rejuvenating treatments.

By Michele Kettner December 20, 2023 at 10:54 am

Less stress and fewer body aches are two of the things you probably want in the coming year. Hot stone massages can help. The heat from the stones relaxes your muscles, helps replenish any damage caused throughout the year, and releases the tension your body holds. Sounds refreshing? Then book a hot stone massage treatment at one of these nearby spas.

Collage Spa

Get loose with the hot stone massage at Collage Spa. The massage therapists use Basalt stones and traditional Swedish massage techniques to relieve the stress trapped in your body. Guests have the option to pair their massage with a CBD treatment to add a hot and cold effect. Sixty- and 90-minute treatments are available. 804 Charles St., Fredericksburg, $115 for 60 minutes, $150 for 90 minutes

Inova Joan and Russell Hitt Center for Healthy Living

Not interested in spending a day at the spa, head to Inova’s Center for Healthy Living. Here, you’ll find several therapeutic massage services, including 60- and 90-minute hot stone massage treatments that’ll ease your aches and help damaged soft tissues. 8100 Innovation Park Dr., Lower Level, Fairfax, $120 for 60 minutes, $160 for 90 minutes

King Spa

For a full day of pampering, book an appointment at this authentic Korean spa. The 90-minute treatment will leave you feeling relaxed, helping reduce your stress level and rejuvenate your tired muscles. After the massage, you can try one of the spa’s other self-care treatments, like the sauna or steam room. 25330 Eastern Marketplace Plz., Chantilly, $250 for 90 minutes

The Ritz-Carlton

This massage uses warm volcanic stones to help soothe your aching muscles. To enhance your experience, add one of the available upgrades to your package, including CBD Treatment Enhancement, Hot Stone Melter, Lavender Foot Scrub, or White Currant Back Scrub. Through the end of December, the spa is also offering a peppermint-scented hot stone massage as a festive alternative. 1700 Tysons Blvd., McLean, $275 for hot stone massage, $235–$285 for peppermint hot stone massage

Tranquility Day Spa & Salon

Enjoy the benefits of hot and cold stones in one treatment. During the 90-minute session, the hot stones will help relieve any tension and aches across your body, while the cold stones contract your muscles and help increase circulation. 15125 Washington St., Ste. 304, Haymarket, $170
