NoVA travelers will soon have new options to get to their vacations. United Airlines has announced new nonstop flights out of Dulles International Airport to Los Cabos, Mexico, and Santa Ana, California.
The new flight to Orange County/Santa Ana, California, starts August 11. There will be a daily, year-round flight departing Dulles at 5:45 p.m. to John Wayne Airport. The daily return flight leaves Santa Ana at 8:10 a.m. and lands in Dulles at 4:07 p.m. This will be the first direct flight to Santa Ana from a major DC-area airport.
The flight to San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, launches October 25. It will operate four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays for most of the winter. It increases to daily flights during peak December travel.
Flights depart Dulles at 8:30 a.m. and arrive at Los Cabos International Airport at 12:08 p.m. Return flights leave Mexico at 1:20 p.m. and arrive at 7:58 p.m.
“Los Cabos has become a go-to destination for travelers looking for a premium vacation, and we’re excited to add this new nonstop option from Washington Dulles,” said Tom Kozlowski, senior manager of Latin & Hawaii Network Planning, United Airlines. “With this new service, United customers will now be able to get directly to Los Cabos from all seven of our hubs – making travel even easier to one of the destinations they’re most excited to visit.”
The airline also recently kicked off a new daily flight from Dulles to Reykjavik, Iceland, and weekly flights to Halifax and Quebec City in Canada.
