Santini’s Deli in Chantilly Could Become a StoneSprings Emergency Room

HCA Healthcare is under contract to purchase the site off Route 50.

HCA Healthcare’s StoneSprings Hospital Center wants to establish a new freestanding emergency room in Chantilly. And they are targeting the current site of Santini’s New York Style Deli in Chantilly, The Washington Business Journal reported.

StoneSprings is under contract to purchase the 1.6-acre site at 3980 Corsair Ct., just off Route 50. The company said that this is an area with “demonstrated need for emergency services,” WBJ reported. The site is 7 miles from the StoneSprings Hospital in Sterling.

The 1,000-square-foot facility would be open 24 hours per day. It would have 11 exam rooms and offer radiology and CT scan services.

This would be HCA’s fourth freestanding ER in NoVA. It operates one in Fredericksburg and one in Tysons, and a Leesburg facility is currently under construction. The Tysons and Leesburg ERs are both operated under the Reston Hospital Center umbrella. There are also six farther south in Virginia.

StoneSprings is requesting a special exception to develop the Chantilly ER, which is subject to Board of Supervisors approval, according to WBJ.

The Santini’s Deli that is currently open at the site has been in operation since 2011. With seating for more than 200 customers, it’s one of seven locations of the local deli brand.
