Northern Virginia won’t be left without an expo center for long. Just weeks after IKEA announced it was moving into the Dulles Expo Center, Dulles Town Center announced it will be opening an event center in 2026.
The DTC Expo & Event Center will take the place of the former Lord & Taylor at 21050 Dulles Town Cir. The new venue is slated to open in the second quarter of 2026. The 120,000-square-foot facility will host trade shows, exhibitions, conventions, concerts, corporate functions, and community gatherings.
“We’re excited to introduce this next-generation event space at Dulles Town Center,” Srini Chavali, landlord of Dulles Town Center, said in a release. “The DTC Expo will strengthen our role as a true community hub — one that unites business, culture, entertainment, and connection across Loudoun County and beyond. More importantly, it will stimulate local economic growth, benefiting hotels, restaurants, and retail throughout the area.”
According to the shopping center, a handful of events that were hosted at the Dulles Expo Center have already signed leases for the new venue. Those event names have yet to be announced.
The new expo center isn’t the only change coming to Dulles Town Center. The shopping center will be opening a variety of entertainment venues. They include 810 Entertainment, which opens this month, and Sky Zone, which opens in December. Cloudbound, an indoor toddler park, is set to open at the beginning of 2026. Libero, a state-of-the-art training facility, is also in the works.
Dulles Expo Center will be holding events nearly every weekend until it closes on December 21. IKEA is set to open its new retail space in spring of 2026.
