The Arlington Police Department is investigating seven juvenile suspects for a robbery that occurred on February 15. The youngest suspect could be as young as 5 years old.
At about 7:38 p.m. on February 15, police reported to the 1200 block of S. Hayes Street — in the vicinity of the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City — to a report of a robbery by force.
Seven juvenile suspects reportedly entered the business and concealed merchandise. Two suspects exited without payment, and an employee attempted to keep the other suspects from leaving.
“The remaining suspects shoved the employee before exiting the business without payment,” according to a crime report from the Arlington Police Department. The employee then followed the suspects outside, and one suspect threw a drink at the employee before the group fled the scene.
Six of the suspects were estimated to be between ages 12 and 14, while the youngest suspect was estimated to be between 5 and 6 years old.
