When Nate Bargatze takes the stage at EagleBank Arena Friday night, he’ll be performing before a record crowd of 10,400.
The show, part of Bargatze’s “The Be Funny Tour,” is sold out and comes a day after the stand-up comedian took the stage before 14,300 at Capital One Arena in DC, Monumental Sports & Entertainment said.
Named “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up” by The Atlantic, Nate Bargatze is known for his clean style of comedy.
Anyone going to Friday’s show should add travel time because of the crowd. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
Phish’s performance on October 8, 1994, at EagleBank Arena held the previous record with 10,356 attendees.
The 10,000-seat arena on George Mason University’s campus is home to more than 100 events per year.
