Fredericksburg’s Huntley Rocks a ‘Flawless’ Voice Performance

The NoVA singer now moves on to the final round on the NBC show.

Fredericksburg rocker Huntley was voted into the final round on The Voice on Tuesday for his “flawless” performance of “Way Down We Go” by KALEO.

Fans selected the song for the 33-year-old dad for the semi-finals.

Coach John Legend, who’s been a big supporter of Huntley, said, “I really feel like I’m seeing you as an artist up here on the stage. You’re such a flawless vocalist, you execute everything beautifully, but I really see where you want to go as an artist.”

“I have no doubt in my mind that Huntley should be in the finale,” his own coach, Niall Horan, said before the performance. After Huntley sang, Horan called him “Mr. Consistent,” and added that the fans picked the perfect song for him.

Huntley was one of nine finalists to perform in this Live round. Just five singers will move on to next week’s final round. He’s been a favorite of fans and the coaches this season. Among his competition going into the finale is Ruby Leigh, a 16-year-old country singer on coach Reba McEntire’s team who made headlines this week with her rendition of “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver.

The voice airs on Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC.
