Police detectives in Prince William County arrested a 35-year-old man Friday in connection with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl after giving her a ride in Manassas.

Police said the girl was riding her bike in the rain but stopped in the area of Hoadly Road and Prince William Parkway to rest on Thursday morning. That’s when a man in a maroon truck offered her a ride, which she agreed to, reported FOX5. The man then loaded her bike into the bed of the truck and the girl climbed into the passenger seat.

At that point, police said the suspect drove to a nearby parking lot and sexually assaulted the young girl. The girl was able to get away and managed to take a photo of the truck with her bike still in the back as the suspect drove away.

The release of the photo the Ford F-350 with two-tone maroon and tan paint, a plow attached to the front, and a large salter in the bed — along with the girl’s teal Huffy mountain bike — helped lead police to the driver, reported InsideNova.

Sender Juventino Linares Rivera of Manassas was arrested Friday morning and charged with aggravated sexual battery, abduction, carnal knowledge, attempted rape, and attempted strangulation, police said.

Police found the vehicle in the photo unoccupied in the Manassas Park Commuter Lot. They made contact with the individual who was driving the truck at the time of the incident, and he met with detectives. He was arrested after an investigation. The suspect is not the owner of the vehicle, police said.
