Multiple Homes Shot at Over Several Days in Ashburn

Police are still trying to determine if all the shootings are connected.

By Jackie DiBartolomeo April 20, 2022 at 4:42 pm

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating gunfire in Ashburn that struck and damaged several homes Wednesday morning.

Around 1 a.m. on April 20, LSCO Deputies responded to a call of reported gunfire in the 43000 block of Stubble Corner Square in Ashburn. Deputies found four townhomes facing Ashburn Road damaged with discharged rounds on the front areas of the homes. The LCSO believes the rounds came from a vehicle that was traveling on Ashburn Road.

A similar incident occurred Tuesday afternoon, when LCSO Deputies received a report from a resident on Sweetpine Lane in Ashburn, whose house was damaged by two discharged rounds. The resident had heard a loud noise around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. One of the rounds entered a bedroom.

There were also reports of gunfire Tuesday night in areas along Belmont Ridge Road. No discharged rounds were located at that time.

All of the damaged homes were occupied at the time of the gunfire. No injuries were reported. The LCSO says it is unclear if the incidents are related.

The LCSO asks for anyone with more information to call Detective S. McCormack at 703-777-1021. Tips can also be submitted through the LCSO app.
