On Saturday, Nov. 2, Constitution Avenue evolved into a sea of red due to the hundreds of thousands of fans who made there way into the Capital to celebrate our World Series champions, the Washington Nationals.

Between tearful remarks from players like Ryan Zimmerman, who has been with the team since the franchise’s inception, and jokes from Nationals owner Ted Lerner, there were baby shark chants and cheers galore. And to end the weekend, the world champions made there way to the Capital One Arena Sunday night to stand alongside former Stanley Cup champions, the Capitals.

From local residents to government officials to the players themselves, here’s a look at the weekend-long celebration, courtesy of social media.
