Northern Virginia may qualify for federal aid funding due to the July flash floods that left residents stranded in flooded homes and cars throughout the region. Leesburg will close a portion of King Street for the first time during its monthly First Friday event being held today, which gathers residents to eat, drink and shop in the historic district.
