Loudoun approves two potential Potomac River crossing points; Fairfax approves Soapstone Connector project

On Sept. 20, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors voted “yes” to two potential locations for a bridge crossing over the Potomac River, which would hopefully reduce traffic on the American Legion Bridge.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors voted on Sept. 25 to move forward with a $169 million road expansion between Sunrise Valley Drive and Sunset Hills Road called the Soapstone Connector.
