As Ballston Quarter inches closer to its grand opening, Forest City Realty Trust has announced a quartet of new tenants that will be available to patrons. The new foursome includes Bash Boxing workout studio, Copa neighborhood bar and kitchen, DC Lash Bar and Whino.

The Ballston Quarter location will be Bash’s second, its original gym located in Rosslyn. Bash offers boxing-focused 45-minute workouts which combine boxing on a water-infused aqua bag and high intensity interval training lead by a staff of expert coaches. According to reports, Bash is expected to open in early 2019.

Copa is a new casual neighborhood bar and kitchen from the team behind Butchers Alley and Pescadeli in Bethesda, Maryland. The menu is expected to feature craft cocktails, Spanish beers and a sangria garden, as well as Spanish flatbreads and tizona skewers.

In what will be a first outside of Washington, D.C., DC Lash Bar, an eyelash extension bar that specializes in eyelash extensions, eyelash perming and eyelash tinting, will occupy a 1,300-square-foot space in Ballston Quarter.

Rounding out the new additions is Whino, an experiential venue from the Art Whino founder. With a 6,000-square-foot space, Whino will feature a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen with seating for 35, a full service bar, art gallery, retail space and full-immersion murals.

These venues join previously announced tenants like Steadfast Supply, Potomac River Running, Scout and Molly’s, Punch Bowl Social, Cookology and more.

“With Ballston Quarter, we are fostering a true community in which people can live, work, shop and be entertained by dynamic and homegrown concepts alongside some of the most exciting national brands to come to this area in a decade,” said Will Voegele, Forest City senior vice president of development, in the press release.

No official opening date has been set for Ballston Quarter, but it is expected to do so by late fall.
