Virginia gets less value out of $100 than the national average; Michael Phelps and the U.S. women’s gymnastics team win gold at the Olympics

In a new study, the Tax Foundation tracked states in which residents get the most value out of $100. D.C. ranked last at $84.67, while Virginia ranked higher but still more expensive than the national average at $97.47.
