The second book in a dark series set in London in the year 2059 centers around a “dreamwalker” named Paige Mahoney and her fight to survive during a clairvoyant genocide.
“The Little Known Story of Tracey Africa“
The Cut’s in-depth look at how a black trans model built a booming career in the late ’70s—and how it all fell apart.
“The Life of a Fashion Critic“
A quick read featuring today’s top fashion critics and their views on the industry.
Things I Bought:
1. Many black/white/gray combos
2. A floor length cardigan (I’m 5′ 1″) that I wear every day
3. Madewell’s Mira Heel in black, blue, green and leopard (and soon cranberry). The most comfortable and flattering heels I have ever worn.
4. A leather biker jacket (not pictured, similar style)
5. Altheisure; sweats with heels and skirts with sneakers
6. Royal Apothic Hothouse Peonie smells equally good in candle and perfume form. It’s the one candle I actually am committed to and have bought many times.
Things I Watched:
“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”
It’s really all about Titus Andromedon and this classic.
“Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23”
Chloe+Luther= too many priceless one-liners.
“Pretty Little Liars”
I have watched this show from the very beginning—after seven seasons, multiple murders and one questionable plot twist, we were finally rewarded with the real “A.”
“The L Word”
Drama, drama, drama and a bunch of good looking women.
“Gilmore Girls”
When I heard of the potential Netflix reboot, I may or may not have shed tears of joy. Also, theme song gold.
Honorable Mentions: “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Felicity” (haven’t finished these yet, but so far so good).
