Radio legend Jack Diamond returns to D.C. for MIX 107.3 relaunch

After a two-year absence from the D.C. airwaves, Jack Diamond is home in time for the holidays. ‘The Jack Diamond Morning Show’ featured the legendary morning radio personality for 22 years, and he now returns to the D.C radio waves.

No matter how we feel about Christmas decorations invading the store aisles in early November, most of us love the first notes of Christmas music on the car radio. To celebrate MIX 107.3’s rebranding, new programming and the return of legendary radio personalities such as Jack Diamond, the radio station will play round-the-clock Christmas tunes this Friday, Nov. 13.

After a two-year absence from the D.C. airwaves, Diamond is home in time for the holidays. “The Jack Diamond Morning Show” featured the legendary morning radio personality for 22 years until his sudden disappearance from the station in 2013. Diamond now returns to the D.C. radio waves on MIX 107.3/WRQX.

In addition to Diamond’s return, former on-air partners Jimmy Alexander and Erica Hilary reunite, building the much-anticipated buzz for the relaunch of the radio station.

Alexander states, “Thomas Wolfe was wrong; you CAN go home again,” and on-air partner Hilary is excited to be home with “family” for the holidays.

The on-air lineup also boasts a new midday show and a new daily podcast by Sarah Fraser.
