Renaissance Centro project moves forward
The redevelopment of a former office building into condominiums is moving forward and will turn a three-story office building at 1801 Old Reston Ave. into a 20-story residential building with 150 units. Renaissance Centro will build luxury condominiums with amenities including a fitness center, resident lounge and possible rooftop amenities. The property is adjacent to Reston Town Center and walkable to the new Silver Line Metro.
Del Ray Place bringing condos this year
Forty-nine modern condominiums are set to open later this year at 1800 Mount Vernon Ave. Condos will feature open floor plans, Smart Home technology, private balconies and luxury amenities. Units will come in one- and two-bedroom spaces starting in the mid $300,000s, and are less than a mile from the Braddock Road Metro Station.
Affordable housing in Rosslyn gets loan from county
Arlington County Board of Supervisors approved a $7.9 million loan for the redevelopment of Queens Court South, an affordable housing project in North Rosslyn. Queens Court currently offers studio and one-bedroom apartments, and the additional construction will bring 249 units in the form of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units and 9,000 square feet for a playground.
Bit of California comes to Arlington
The Sur has broken ground at 3400 Potomac Ave. and once opened will offer 360 luxury apartments with rustic, modern features and 16,000 square feet of ground-level retail. The building, expected to open January 2020, will span hold apartments ranging from 557-square-foot studios to 1,419-square-foot three-bedroom spaces. Amenities will include a party space opening to a terrace with fireplace and bar, a rooftop spa with fire pits, a fitness center, business center, dog wash area and outdoor lawn for events like yoga and movie nights.
Craftmark Homes to deliver 41 townhomes
Within walking distance of the Huntington Metro Station, Craftmark Homes is constructing 41 four-bedroom, three-full and two half-bath townhomes with rooftop terraces and two-car garages in a total of 2,400 square feet at Towns at South Alex on North Royal Street. Each townhome will have crown molding and hardwood flooring; kitchens outfitted with maple cabinets, quartz countertops, a subway tile backsplash and stainless-steel appliances; and bathrooms with free-standing tubs, dual vanity sinks and private water closets.
