In McLean, a new home created by Artisan Builders and GTM Architects showcases Scandinavian architectural influences.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood off Old Dominion Drive and Balls Hill Road, 7216 Dulany Dr. is an 11,575-square-foot house with five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, four half baths. It is listed for $10.5 million.

The house sits on an acre of pristinely landscaped yard, outfitted with blue-stone bricks for its front walkway and back patio/pool area.

Its Scandinavian influences aren’t just apparent from the outside, but inside the ceiling has distinct wood details in several rooms, including the kitchen and family room, which are partly separated by a fireplace.

When you enter the home’s open foyer, the living and dining room are to your left behind a fireplace, a wood-paneled office is to your right. Walk through the living room to a two-tone, open kitchen with white quartz countertops and an island with white cabinets. The rest of the sandy brown cabinets match the ceiling.

The kitchen also boasts a butler’s pantry, a 36-inch Miele French door–paneled fridge, and a 48-inch professional Bertazzoni range that has an electric oven and six brass burners and a grill. There’s a Miele dishwasher with a custom panel, a built-in Sharp microwave, and a built-in Miele espresso maker.

The lower level includes a workout room, outfitted with mirrored walls and padded floors; a golf room, with a slightly lower, carpeted floor, a Sub-Zero fridge and wine column, and a wet bar with blue lights incorporated into its design, making it feel like a nightclub.

From there, the lower level opens into a second family room, with a fireplace and open space to watch TV, walk out to the pool area and backyard, or sit in the sauna in the far corner of the room.

This house is also outfitted with a working elevator that services all three floors. On the upper level, the elevator opens to a sitting room, and long hallways on either side take you to each bedroom as well as the laundry room.
