California-born home store Serena & Lily to open in the DMV

The soon-to-open storefront will feature a wide array of outdoor and indoor furniture, textiles and decor, all showcasing the brand’s signature coastal aesthetic.

For local residents looking to give their home a new look this summer, you’re in luck, as nationally recognized home store Serena & Lily is officially putting down roots in Bethesda Row. The brick-and-mortar location is the first in the Mid-Atlantic region for the California-born brand, and is expected to bring in shoppers from all over the DMV, as homeowners in this region account for a large portion of the company’s customer base.

The new design shop, opening Monday, Aug. 3, will showcase the home brand’s signature coastal aesthetic through an array of furniture, bedding, decor accessories and more.

Within the 3,000-square-foot space—the 13th storefront for the brand—shoppers will find everything from signature indoor furnishings of Serena & Lily to decorative lighting and upholstery collections too, all organized to match the coastal design aesthetic of the brand. The shop will include a curated gallery wall featuring works of local artists like Wendy Doak, Lanie Mann, Erica Nordberg and Sarah Trundle, as well as a swatch wall featuring more than 300 original textile designs.

The store will also include a patio featuring the brand’s outdoor pieces, serving as inspiration for end-of-summer gatherings to come in the next few months. And, this specific store allows for complimentary design services, giving shoppers the chance to work one-on-one with expert advisors to create the dream space they desire.

As the global pandemic continues on, Serena & Lily plans to put the health and safety of all staff and patrons first as the new store opens its doors. Should guests wish to shop privately, they are welcome to make an advance appointment or schedule contactless curbside pickup by calling the design shop directly. // 7121 Bethesda Lane, Bethesda, Maryland
