It’s official, the seasons have changed.

While you bring your boots, scarves and flannel shirts back into your closet, don’t forget about the easy ways to bring the fall season into your home.

If you’re looking for new ways beyond fake pumpkins and scarecrows, be sure to check out these upcoming workshops to DIY your own home decor.

Fall Floral Arrangement Workshop
Sept. 29, 1 p.m.
Rather than just walking past the flower section at the grocery store and picking up another bouquet of sunflowers for the dinner table, this fall floral arrangement class will teach you how to use garden-sourced, seasonal blooms and foliage to create a stunning arrangement for you home, made entirely by you. // Merrifield Garden Center – Fair Oaks: 12101 Lee Highway, Fairfax; $60

Textural Fall
Oct. 1, 6:30 p.m.
Helen Olivia will be hosting a series of fall-inspired floral workshops, but to kick off the season, attendees can learn about the various textures and seasonal features that fall offers in the world of floral design. Find your favorite colors and textures, and take your creation home to enjoy with the rest of your fall-inspired decor. // Helen Olivia Flowers: 1519 Leslie Ave., Alexandria; $105

Wicks & Sips & Pizza
Oct. 9, 5:30 p.m.
What could be better than making your own fall-inspired candle? Having brick-oven pizza and beer or wine to enjoy throughout the evening of crafting and creating, of course. Learn from Shining Sol Candle Company how to make your own soy wax candle, and select a container, scent and color for your take-home, handmade and seasonal candle. // Malawi’s Pizza Spotsylvania Towne Centre: 1 Towne Centre Blvd., Suite 2400, Fredericksburg; $31

Fall Blooms with Athleta and Alice’s Table
Oct. 13, 6 p.m.
Create a beautiful floral arrangement with the help of Alice’s Table during a night of community at Athleta in Reston. Not only will you learn to make your own unique arrangement and get to take it home, if you shop your favorites in-store, you’ll get a 20% off one-item coupon. // Athleta: 11923 Market St., Reston; $65

Autumn Wreath
Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m.
Floral arrangements are not limited to bouquets and vases. Make a fall-inspired and seasonal bloom wreath with the help of Helen Olivia Flowers, as a part of its fall series. Not only will the wreath pair well with your other fall decor, it can also liven up your front door and you can pride yourself on knowing you made it. // Helen Olivia Flowers: 1519 Leslie Ave., Alexandria; $125

Felt Flower Wreath at Dirt Farm Brewing
Oct. 17, 6 p.m.
Wreaths are a great addition to any fall decorations, but what if the fresh ones don’t last? Head to Dirt Farm Brewing to learn how to make an everlasting wreath that features fall colors and blooms with felt flowers, and take it home for your future seasonal decor. // Dirt Farm Brewing: 18701 Foggy Bottom Road, Bluemont; $45

Everlasting Autumn Wreath
Oct. 20, 10 a.m.
If felt flowers are not your style, use dried ones instead to make a hand-tie wreath using textures and colors from fall with Botanologica. The workshop will include all materials needed: fresh flowers that will dry in place, herbs and mixed foliage, and a 12-inch wooden or brass hoop. // Botanologica: 817 W. Broad St., Falls Church; $60

Wicks & Sips at Aroma
Oct. 24, 5 p.m.
Craft your own candle and enjoy Aroma Wine Tasting Room’s happy hour specials for a Thursday evening filled with fun and fall-inspired crafting. Early-bird pricing ends on Oct. 17, so make sure to sign up soon! // Aroma Wine Tasting Room: 9249 Center St., Manassas; $23
