While it may be chilly and snowy around the region, there are plenty of ways to get in your weekly workout. From a virtual happy hour yoga to a rollerblading lesson at the park, here are six healthy workouts to try this weekend.
Thursday, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Once you’re finished with the workday, change into your yoga pants and pour a drink for a fun evening at home. This complimentary class hosted by the National Landing BID welcomes all levels of experience for a way to decompress with connections, music and yoga. // free
Saturday, 8 a.m.
Continue the Valentine’s Day celebration with a weekend 5K. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the rushing water as you make your way through Great Falls Park. Stay warm on this chilly weekend with the Salamander Resort’s hatha flow yoga class. During the 90-minute session, yogis will practice breathing techniques and increase flexibility and strength. You are never too old to pick up a new hobby. Head down to Dixon Park for a lesson in inline skating. Adults and kids will learn how to skate forwards and backwards, balance and stopping. Sunday, 11-11:50 a.m.
