Zofia’s Kitchen opened less than a year ago in Ballston Quarter. Now, chef-partner Ed Hardy is announcing the official grand opening of his Leesburg location, inside ChefScape at Village at Leesburg. With the debut comes a rebrand: Zofia’s Kitchen has now become Rogi. And this won’t be the last stop for Hardy. There’s already a third link in the small chain planned for Tysons Corner.
Rogi takes the space most recently occupied in ChefScape by Spanish vendor Tia Pepa. Starting this Thursday, September 9, specials and limited-edition fall preview items will be doled out with every order over $20. This will last all weekend or until supplies run out. On Friday, September 10, Rogi partners with Old Ox Brewery for a tap takeover and pierogi pairing, featuring music from guitarist Ted Garber.
“We’re opening at the perfect time,” says Hardy in a press release. “Pierogi are the perfect food for fall and we’re adding exciting new fall-themed menu items along with our new location.” What can pierogi devotees expect? Spiced Apple Pie-Rogi, for one, topped with oat crumble and crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The Fall of Rome blends prosciutto, Parmigiana, sage, pear, and mozzarella. Vegans will celebrate Keep Calm And Curry On–the combination of potatoes, curry, carrot, peas, and garlic is intended to replicate the flavors of a samosa, in pierogi form. Other upcoming dishes include a pretzel burger and a fall-themed turkey sub.
Rogi is open for dine-in, takeout, and delivery from Wednesday to Sunday. We can’t wait to see where Rogi will be in another year.
