Remember when dining restrictions postponed this year’s Metropolitan Washington Winter Restaurant Week? It may feel like worlds away from today’s restaurant world with all restrictions lifted, but Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) has announced that while Metropolitan Washington Summer Restaurant Week will focus on in-restaurant dining, it will also extend favorite features that were added due to the pandemic.
“We’re excited to begin rebuilding and recovering as an industry,” said RAMW president and CEO Kathy E. Hollinger in a press release. “The program is tailored to provide a range of dining comfort levels, offering outstanding on-premises menus as well as to-go offerings.” Those takeout options include family-style to-go meals and take-home cocktail pairings.
Summer Restaurant Week is slated to take place Monday, August 9 – Sunday, August 15. Prix-fixe brunch and lunch menus will cost $22 per-person. Dinner offerings are $35 or $55 per-person for in-restaurant dining. For those who still prefer to do their dining at home, RW-To-Go dinner meals will be available at two price points: $60 or $100 for two people and $100 or $200 for four people.
The official website for the promotion isn’t active yet, but will be in the coming weeks. Check back soon to view which NoVA restaurants will be participating and to see their menus.
