Just because you’re dining at home, that doesn’t mean Metropolitan Washington Winter Restaurant Week is leaving you out in the cold. The promotion takes place in 2021 from Jan. 18-31. While dining out at the restaurants themselves isn’t discouraged, there are more opportunities than ever to enjoy the rich collage of fare at home. Besides two weeks of to-go and delivery meals, there are also takeout wine and cocktail pairings at many restaurants.
“We recognize how fragile the industry is at this time and that our restaurants continue to work hard to stay afloat and come out of this challenging period,” says Kathy E. Hollinger, president and CEO of the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington. “We continue to support our restaurants through programming that is tailored to fit the unique and constantly changing needs during a time when the weather is colder and dining out can be enjoyed in various ways that include outdoor dining on heated patios and by dining out at home via takeout and delivery options.”
As usual, participating restaurants will offer prix-fixe dinner menus for $35 or $55 per person, as well as $22 for lunch or brunch. The official site will launch in the coming weeks with menus from the restaurants that are taking part.
