As the growing threat of COVID-19 continues to spread, Northern Virginia restaurateurs are facing the complicated task of choosing how to move forward in an ever-changing climate.
While some local businesses have officially closed their doors for the time being, others have added takeaway options, including curbside pickup and online ordering. Plus, Virginia has substantially eased restrictions on the sale and distribution of alcohol, enabling restaurants to offer alcohol through drive-thru and delivery sales.
We’ve gathered some of the best and most unique delivery deals from several of Northern Virginia’s restaurants, below. From discounted toilet paper rolls paired with to-go duck wings to refillable growlers of locally sourced brew, these businesses are thinking outside the box.
Trummer’s Restaurant

Arlington staple The Liberty Tavern has launched to-go family meals for both delivery and pickup that change each night. From fried chicken on Monday to steak frites on Saturday, each option serves four people. In addition to adding four-packs of toilet paper for $3.99 to its menu, Brambleton-based American bistro AhSo Restaurant has also implemented a rotating takeout menu. In addition to takeaway options, including typical Italian fare from the menu, as well as beer and wine options, Wild Wood Pizzeria is selling build-your-own pizza kits for families who want to get crafty at home.
