What better way to spend a sunny afternoon than at a gorgeous vineyard, frosty drink in hand? Enter the wine slushie: an irresistible icy blend of wine, ice, and maybe some frozen fruit, otherwise known as your new favorite summer treat.
It’s not very hard to make this luxurious dream a reality this summer. Check out these six wineries offering wine slushies in Northern Virginia.

868 Estate Vineyards
Enjoy a sangria slushy on 868 Estate’s stunning 120 acres of greenery. The vineyard produces 3,500 cases of wine per year and has won awards, such as the 2020 Virginia Governer’s Cup. Most importantly, the winery serves as a gathering place for music and art alongside its food and wine. There’s live music every weekend. 14001 Harpers Ferry Rd., Hillsboro

Quattro Goomba’s Winery
Quattro Goomba’s is a jack of all trades, with a winery, a craft brewery, and a pizza kitchen. Stop by for a wine tasting or skip to your main event: the frappe vino slushies. Love the slushies? The winery also sells packets for you to create the alcoholic slushie at home. 22860 James Monroe Hwy., Aldie
Bleu Frog Vineyards
This family- and veteran-owned vineyard is the perfect place for your own family outing. The winery is not only pet friendly — the family has dogs of their own — but it offers an Arnold Palmer slushie (iced tea and lemonade), as well as other non-alcoholic slushies for you and the kids. For the adults: frosé is the seasonal wine slush of choice. Bleu Frog hosts musicians on weekend afternoons throughout the season. 16413 James Monroe Hwy., Leesburg
Morais Vineyards & Winery
A villa more akin to a palace greets you at Morais Vineyards & Winery. The family-owned production makes its own vino Italian-style. The wine slush concoctions are a welcome addition to the elegant spread of reds, whites, and cheeses. 11409 Marsh Rd., Bealeton

Bluemont Vineyard
Rooted on the mountainside, Bluemont Vineyard offers panoramic views of Loudoun Valley. A tasting menu with daily offerings and weekend brunch accompanies the wide selection. This season, treat yourself to a seasonal strawberry wine slushie. 18755 Foggy Bottom Rd., Bluemont
Hidden Brook Winery
Hidden Brook Winery is nestled in a log cabin in the woods. The winery, founded by a husband-and-wife pair, is one of Loudon County’s first 10 wineries. It crafts a variety of white and red wines, taking an Italian approach to the craft. The wine slushies are made in-house, and the flavors rotate weekly. Pair your wine slushy with a charcuterie board or a pizza. 43301 Spinks Ferry Rd., Leesburg
