This Arlington Pub Was Named America’s Best Soccer Bar

Men in Blazers named this the go-to spot for soccer fans.

One Northern Virginia bar is getting recognition as a go-to spot for soccer fans. Soccer media company Men in Blazers named Ireland’s Four Courts as America’s Best Soccer Bar.

“Thanks to the unwavering dedication of our supporters clubs, who create an electrifying atmosphere that makes every game day an unforgettable experience,” Ireland’s Four Courts said in a social media post.

The first round of the competition included 1,300 bars across all 50 states, The Washington Post reported. Top 10 finalists included the Globe in Chicago, the British Bulldog in Denver, and the Black Sheep in Philadelphia.

After fans voted, Men in Blazers hosted a special live podcast at the pub. American soccer player Clint Dempsey attended the event and presented Ireland’s Four Courts managing partner Dave Cahill with the Best Soccer Bar Award.

The Irish bar in Arlington is home to seven different supporters clubs. Fans regularly gather to watch soccer matches on TV, even ones that air as early as 7 a.m.

The bar opened in 1996. In 2022, a car crashed through its front wall, and it was forced to close for over a year while the damage was repaired.

“Through the power of community and the generosity of so many, Four Courts rose like a Phoenix and has returned to being the staple of DMV Football culture that all its patrons have come to rely on,” Men in Blazers wrote in a social media post.

This is the second year Men in Blazers has held the contest. It named Ireland’s Four Courts in the top 100 last year, but Brewhouse Cafe in Atlanta took home the title.
