Top Chef alum and DC resident Carla Hall is opening a new Capitol Hill eatery. Bumblebirds Featuring Carla Hall is set to open on Friday, March 20.

The Southern menu features a variety of fried chicken sandwiches, grilled chicken sandwiches topped with slaw, and biscuit sandwiches served with pickles and hot honey or Southern gravy.

For drinks, the restaurant will include a homemade iced tea and lemonade bar. It also offers a variety of cocktails, including The Bumblebird, which is a mix of gin, lavender honey, lemon juice, and prosecco.

Desserts include doughnuts, lemon bars, and blueberry shortcake.

The fast-casual concept was created in partnership with the Mendelsohn family which runs Sunnyside Restaurant Group. Its brands include We, The Pizza and Good Stuff Eatery.
