Historic downtown Leesburg is getting a gorgeous new venue. Shutters on King opens Tuesday, August 5, at the corner of King and Loudoun streets.
The restaurant, from the hospitality group H2-Collective, offers “a modern American restaurant grounded in seasonality, genuine hospitality, and a deep sense of place.” The restored, three-level property has seating for around 250 guests. It includes a main floor with a large L-shaped bar, multiple private dining rooms, an outdoor patio, and a rooftop space.

Shutters on King’s executive chef is Doug Lenz, formerly of Clarity and Black’s Bar & Kitchen. Certified sommelier Ian Broome, formerly of the James Beard Award–winning Primo in Rockland, Maine, is the general manager.
The menu features modern American cuisine and multiple seafood options, including a raw bar with oysters, crab, lobster, and plateau de fruits de mer. Other options include handmade pastas, large-format shareables such as a 20-ounce bone-in ribeye, herb crusted lamb loin, and seasonal desserts.

Shutters on King is open Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight. Weekend brunch hours are coming this fall.
