The Taco Shop, a fast-casual taqueria featuring Mexican classics with a twist, plans to open in the space formerly occupied by Neighbors Sports Bar & Grill in Ashburn in late May or early June.
The new restaurant comes from a group of five brothers who are veterans of the popular Great American Restaurants group. They started with a food truck, Don Sebas Taqueria, and visited many Loudoun County breweries, wineries, festivals, and neighborhood pop-ups. They later opened their first brick-and-mortar Don Sebas Taqueria location in Woodbridge and Helena’s Mexican Restaurant in Alexandria.

The menu will include enchiladas, fajitas, ceviches, and tacos that the brothers have reinvented to make their own.
The Taco Shop will offer drinks with top quality and fresh ingredients. Most of the cocktails will be Mexican inspired, like margaritas, palomas, and micheladas, and the bar will also have a long list of Mexican beers, tequila, and mezcal.
Neighbors closed late last year.
The deal for the space at 42882 Truro Parish Dr., Ashburn, was completed by Metropolitan Restaurant Brokers.
