Out of the Blue Crabs and Seafood Closes in Gainesville

The 300-seat restaurant served Western Prince William County.

Out of the Blue Crabs and Seafood, a seafood restaurant in Gainesville, shut down this week.

“After years of serving the freshest seafood and creating unforgettable memories, we are announcing that we will be closing our doors,” a Facebook post on Wednesday said. “We are incredibly grateful for the journey we’ve shared with all of you.”

By Thursday, the Facebook page was gone. The phone number to the restaurant was not in service when Northern Virginia Magazine called Thursday afternoon.

The 300-seat restaurant has been in western Prince William County on Wellington Road, next to Outback Steakhouse for the last seven years, The Prince William Times reports.

Danny and Ryan Pell and Justin Perroots own the restaurant, according to its website. Out of the Blue Crabs and Seafood’s website was still active Thursday afternoon.

The Pells are related to the family that owns the popular Captain Pells Fairfax Crabhouse. Danny Pell’s father started the Fairfax operation. The two operations are separately owned. Captain Pells remains in operation.
