Mom’s Apple Pie Now Accepting Thanksgiving Pie Pre-Orders

No more waiting in line for your holiday desserts.

By Maggie Roth October 18, 2024 at 3:27 am

Thanksgiving prep just got a little sweeter. Mom’s Apple Pie will now accept pre-orders for pies around Thanksgiving, the bakery announced in an email.

The popular bakery, with locations in Leesburg and High Hill, is a perennial favorite for holiday pies, meaning long lines on big days like Thanksgiving.

Pie-lovers can now place an order online for pickup between Sunday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 27. When ordering, you must select a pickup location — either Mom’s High Hill location or the Virginia Village shopping center. Pre-orders cannot be picked up at the Leesburg location to prevent overcrowding.

You’ll also select a specific time slot for when you will pick up your pie. If you do not see your desired pickup time, it has already reached capacity.

There are 12 types of pie available for Thanksgiving pre-order. These include classics like apple, pumpkin, and pecan, plus bourbon walnut, strawberry rhubarb, and more. There are no minimums or maximums for how many pies you can order.

The bakery will still accept walk-ins on and around Thanksgiving.

For earlier orders (November 23 or before), you can walk in or order online from the full menu through the standard order form and pick it up at the High Hill or Leesburg shops.

If you pick up sooner than you need your pie, you can always freeze and reheat the treat. See reheating directions on the Mom’s Apple Pie website.

All orders must be in by November 20 at 3 p.m., or earlier if the shop reaches capacity before then. There is a minimum three-day lead time for all orders, provided the order is placed by 3 p.m.

If you need to cancel or change your order, you can do so until 3 p.m. on November 20.
