New American French Bistro The Angie Slated to Open in Ballston

The new eatery from the team behind For Five Coffee Roasters will open next year.

An elegant American French bistro is on its way to Ballston.

The Angie, a new concept from the Balos Restaurant Group and For Five Coffee Roasters, signed a lease for a space in the new building at 3901 Fairfax Dr., Arlington. The new bistro is scheduled to open in June 2025, occupying 5,700 square feet of the building’s ground-floor retail space. Diners can visit The Angie for upscale breakfasts, lunches, and dinners daily.

“The build-out and design of 3901 Fairfax is astonishing. The space allows us to have a beautiful restaurant with great curb appeal,” says Stefanos Vouvoudakis, co-founder of The Angie and For Five Coffee Roasters. “We feel this concept, which is an all-day hang, will work with the great demographic of residents, families, and office workers of Ballston.”

The Angie will serve traditional European dishes with a refined, American twist. Think lobster frites with roasted garlic butter crust and hand-cut fries, roasted Dover sole, and ricotta ravioli with kalamata olives and basil oil. The dining spot will offer alfresco dining with 162 seats.

Come thirsty — The Angie will offer a full-service bar and a barista bar, as well as a lounge.

“It’s a concept and offering that doesn’t exist in this neighborhood,” says Vouvoudakis. “We’re really proud to show our version of an American French bistro.”

The restaurant is a collaboration between the Balos Restaurant Group, For Five Coffee Roasters, and construction company Skanska. The restaurateurs hope it will be the perfect spot for tenants and the surrounding community to enjoy exceptional food and hospitality with a relaxed and comfortable alfresco feel.

“We’re confident The Angie will become the area’s go-to destination for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We can’t wait to welcome you,” says Vouvoudakis.
