Owners Sell Bazin’s on Church in Vienna

The owner said on Facebook that the last day for Bazin’s and Bazin’s Next Door will be later this month.

Bazin’s on Church and Bazin’s Next Door, both in Vienna, have been sold, restaurant owner Julie Bazin said on Facebook.

“It is with mixed emotions, that we share with you that we have decided to sell Bazin’s and Bazin’s Next Door. We have loved being part of this amazing Vienna community for 18 years!” Bazin wrote.

Bazin’s on Church offers a contemporary twist on American food, with a heavy emphasis on organic and seasonal ingredients, as well as gluten-free options. The restaurant began creating gluten-free meals that rely on produce after Julie’s husband, chef Patrick Bazin, was diagnosed with celiac disease.

The Bazins opened their sister restaurant, Bazin’s Next Door, in 2012. It’s an event space that can be rented for private lunches and dinner parties.

Julie Bazin thanked customers, saying she would be “forever grateful.”

“While bidding farewell is bittersweet, we are excited for what the future holds. We look forward to traveling, spending time with family, and embracing new adventures. We invite you to join us over the next few weeks in celebrating the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter,” she wrote.

Hundreds of people responded to the post, congratulating the Bazins and expressing appreciation for the restaurants.

The last day the restaurant operates as Bazin’s will be April 27.

Julie added, “We cannot wait to introduce you to the talented new owners.”
