Call Your Mother Opens in Old Town Alexandria

It’s the 10th DMV location of the popular deli, but the first to roast its own coffee.

Your coffee and bagel cravings will be satisfied, thanks to the newest Call Your Mother “Jew-ish” deli, opening February 22 in Old Town Alexandria at 1300 King Street.

“It’s a huge space and has lots of fun furniture,” says Call Your Mother brand manager Hanna Serdynski of the 2,575-square-foot space. “What makes this location really special and different is we left a lot of the old brick inside to have that unique antique look that fits with Old Town.”

Indulge in extravagant carbs like chocolate babka muffins, creative bagel sandwiches, and a variety of bagels and schmears. Sandwiches are gargantuan, and tasty sides like potato latkes, dill pickles, and yuca cheesy bread are the perfect addition.

Bonus: Call Your Mother Alexandria will be roasting its own coffee — a first for this popular chain.

“We’re very excited about it,” says Serdynski. The deli’s Jojo’s medium roast is “100 percent Brazilian, and it’s got chocolate, nutty notes to it.”

Ever since the flagship store opened in DC in 2018, this vibrant eatery has become a mainstay across the District, Maryland, Virginia, and even Colorado. At the Old Town location, doors will open at 7 a.m. on February 22 and stay open until 2 p.m.
