The First Falls Church Restaurant Week Begins January 19

Forty neighborhood spots are set to participate.

Forget about your resolution to lose 10 pounds —instead, make a plan to experience the first ever Falls Church Restaurant Week, coming January 19 through the 28th. Forty neighborhood eateries, scattered over a 2-mile radius in Falls Church, will offer special menus and money-saving prices to entice new diners.

“One thing we love about being part of Falls Church is what a cohesive and inclusive community it is for restaurant and business owners,” says chef Thomas Harvey of Harvey’s. “Falls Church Restaurant Week gives us a chance to come together and celebrate that for 10 days with our customers and teams, and try out some fun new specials.”

Participating restaurants include three restaurants from our 2023 Best Restaurants list: Ellie Bird, a modern American spot offering a three-course menu for $55; NUE, with an exciting modern Vietnamese menu, will have $55 and $65 dinner menus; and Thompson Italian features a three-course menu for $50.

Some other participating favorites include:

  • Borek-G: The mother-and-son-owned Turkish restaurant is offering a three-course menu for $25.
  • La Tingeria from chef David Peña started out as a Mexican food truck before opening this  a brick-and-mortar location. It’s offering two menu items plus sides and a drink for $10 during lunch.
  • American restaurant Harvey’s is offering a three-course lunch and dinner menu for $45 per person, and a three-course brunch menu for $25 per person on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Chasin’ Tails, Roll Play, The Falls, Pho Gà Vàng, and Preservation Biscuit Co. are also among the participants.

“Falls Church has always had great restaurants, but it’s better than ever now, and it’s so fun to see how Falls Church is evolving into an exciting restaurant destination for people all over the area,” says Tricia Barba of Preservation Biscuit Co. “We hope to see some new faces coming in to try our biscuits.”

Organizers hope to promote and increase visitors to restaurants and businesses within the City of Falls Church and increase awareness and consideration of Virginia’s diverse culinary experiences.

“We love having something like this to look forward to post-holidays and in the middle of the winter,” says Esmat Niazy of Panjshir. “It helps us keep our spirits up and gives us a chance to wow some new customers and old friends who haven’t had a chance to visit in a while.”
